My library in Tulsa will be having a celebration of Holmes's birthday. I though I would offer a recipe from Pillsbury.com for Twelfth Night Scones, which we will serve then. You might add it to your own festivities. INGREDIENTS Scones 1 3/4 cups ...

I have no plans but I encourage you in your endeavor. Modeling Holmes's world is very rewarding.

Any reviews for Andrew Lycett's THE MAN WHO CREATED SHERLOCK HOLMES? A copy just landed in my hot little hand.

I suppose we are speaking of Richard Lancelyn Green. A tragic and unusual death for a man who did much for Sherlockians in the 80's and 90's.

It occurs to me that there should be a Holmes related theme park: cobblestone streets, Victorian buildings, permanent fog, hansom cabs, etc. They're completing Hogwarts down in Orlando. Baker Street should be next.

One can hardly do better than Laurie R. King's books. BEEKEEPER is my favorite, perhaps because of her research of Sussex, my favorite spot on earth. Mary Russell is a gem. If you haven't read this series yet, by all means do so!

With the Colonel's permission, I'll keep this subject moving along. Another suggestion for Holmesian collecting is antique sports equipment: medicine balls, Indian clubs, boxing gloves, cricket bats and balls, fencing foils, hickory golf clubs, wo...

I have not had the pleasure, which is a shame because I think Holmes plays go over well. In fact I was working in a Holmes play when I was first recruited into my first scion society. The Afghanistan Perceivers came in one afternoon and somehow to...

With Scott's permission, I'll just use this site until it becomes too unwieldy. Building shall be slow because I'm on deadline for my next novel. A website I found online says not to build an outdoor railway too fast, as it will lead to burnout. T...

Have you committed anything to paper yet? I would like to watch this grow if you don't mind sharing. It sounds like a lot of work. The Brambletye Hotel has character coming out of it's doors. The Master would be pleased with the idea not to mentio...

One could always start small. I have several interesting Holmes -related postcards. Gillette as Holmes, Doyle's home in Surrey, etc.

Here's another building I'd like to make in miniature, the Brambletye Hotel, wher Holmes and Watson stayed during the Black Peter affair: http://www.infotel.co.uk/images/brochure/16774/main/0_1.jpg

I do believe that Holmes's retirement villa is somewhere near Seaford, but it is interesting that five miles WEST of Eastbourne, near the town of Hooe is a piece of property clearly marked on most maps as Holmes Farm. It looks a nice, snug little ...
