I agree Joshua that the film's portrayal of Watson was one of the better aspects. I thought Jude Law was better as Watson then Downey was as Holmes and certainly McAdams as Adler.
I find it odd that people are complaining about this movie being a bastardization of the source works. Would these same individuals kindly refer to the image of the dolt wearing the dearstalker cap and smoking a massive calabash pipe that has become…

People need to quit bitching about the new Holmes movie.
I find it odd that people are complaining about this movie being a bastardization of the source works. Would these same individuals kindly refer to the image of the dolt wearing the dearstalker cap and smoking a massive calabash pipe that has become synonymous with Sherlock Holmes. I don't recall one instance in which canonical Holmes is dressed like that, and yet all the purists don't have a problem embracing that at all.
