@Christopher Lovely coincidence that you watched your favourites a day before his birthday! A sort of pre-celebration I'd call it :)

He, indeed, brought Sherlock to life and consequently immortalised  him on the screen as Sir Doyle did in his books.

Arushi, thanks for the reminder! Ironic, because last night I watched a few of my favorite Granada episodes-'The Priory School" and "The Devil's Foot" and "Silver Blaze". The sheer brilliance and humanity of Jeremy's gripping performances will never cease to capture my imagination. Thank you for bringing Sherlock to my life!

Jeremy would have been 76 today.
He remains alive in our minds- his gaze in our eyes, his voice in our ears, and his art in our hearts.
It feels so good to have a forum where all of us can keep in touch. He has given us so much to share; so much to cherish.
Remembering the man who transcends the word 'actor'. The man who became Sherlock Holmes.
You'll live forever Jeremy. RIP.
