The Sherlock Holmes Social Network

News & updates on the world of Sherlock Holmes, by Sherlockians for Sherlockians

I'll be in New York next weekend, participating in most of the BSI Weekend activities. As a service to the community, I'll be providing live updates for those who can't be there - I'll be using Twitter, a microblogging service that is free to join. But you don't have to join to follow along.

I'll be posting as Sherlock Holmes on http://twitter.com/S_Holmes and I'll also have those updates streaming in little boxes at the top of The Baker Street Blog and The BSI Weekend sites.

I'll try to mention people I meet, things that are said, food that is eaten, and sites that I see. But for the ultimate updates, follow around 10 p.m. EST on Friday, January 11 for real-time updates of those who will be receiving their Investitures into the Baker Street Irregulars.

Where will you be? Will you follow online if you're not there? (It's okay to say no; you won't hurt my feelings)

Some of us will be at the Weekend, sans laptops. Will the updates be available for review after we've returned home? We'd really like to see the Weekend from your viewpoint as well as our own -- Esmerelda

Well, you'll be able to see the Twitter stream - check it out at http://twitter.com/S_Holmes - but this is only a "live blogging" version. I'll also do a more reflective writeup as well, including blog entries and perhaps some audio as well.

Great Scott!!!
I was at home Friday night, but checked your updates every half hour or so.
Especially interested to know about toast and tribute to Vincent Starrett by Ray Betzner and look forward to reading about his remarks.
At the end, I was expecting 4 or 5 investitures, but they kept coming and coming. It really had a you-are-there feel to it.

Thanks for doing that, Scott...it was really fun to check the twitter site as everything was happening.

I'm glad my services were put to good use. Thank you for letting us know that you were following.

Brad Keefauver has done a pretty nice job of writing up his view. You might check it out in his most recent View from Sherlock Peoria.
